Orlando Pirates coach Jose Riveiro has made an honest admission about the depth and quality within his big squad.
JOSE RIVEIRO ON KARIM KIMVUIDI AND HIS SQUAD PLAYERS
Following Tuesday’s 2-1 win over Golden Arrows, Orlando Pirates were impressed by Yanga Madiba, Simphiwe Selepe, and, of course, Karim Kimvuidi, who was named the Man of the Match.
“It’s an opportunity for us to utilise our players, to have more resources,” Riveiro said at the post-match conference.
“It’s an opportunity for Karim to be consistent the next time he finds himself on the field, that’s the most important quality in a football team.
The Orlando Pirates mentor continued via iDiski Times: “Every player who is in the squad is here for a reason. We don’t have any bad players—everybody has something to say, something to contribute to this team.
“Luckily… There is not always the right opportunity for everyone. We cannot 100% fair with a squad of 37 players, so they have to be patient, they have to keep working, they have to be very professional and patient to find opportunities like they did today.
“I’m so happy to have that headache every week, hopefully more coming,” Riveiro concluded.
CAN THE ORLANDO PIRATES SQUAD STILL BE IMPROVED NEXT SEASON?
