Veteran defender Vuyo Mere has shed light on his new coaching position at TS Galaxy following the resignation of the club’s head coach Sead Ramovic.

Galaxy have undergone coaching changes after Ramovic shocked the football fraternity, resigning live on TV.
The abrupt resignation by Ramovic came after Galaxy played to a 1-1 draw against Stellenbosch FC in the Betway Premiership last week.

Before sharing the spoils with Stellenbosch, the Rockets were knocked out of the Carling Knockout Cup after losing 1-0 against Magesi FC in the quarter-final.

The Mpumalanga-based side have had difficult start to the 2024/25 season as they are yet to win a match in seven league matches. Galaxy are sitting 16th on the log standings with two points.

Meanwhile, Galaxy have already appointed Adnan Beganovic to replace replace the German tactician. Beganovic served as the assistant to Ramovic before taking in the past three years at Galaxy.

In a move to turn their fortunes, Galaxy have roped in Vuyo Mere into the first team to serve as the assistant coach to Beganovic.
