Springbok legend Victor Matfield recently took to social media to celebrate his daughter’s matric achievement.

Thanks to his huge social media following, the post has gained thousands of comments and reactions since it dropped online.

Taking to Instagram, Victor Matfield shared a photo with his daughter Jamie while holding her matric result statement.

He captioned the now-viral post, “Skool klaar..Baie trots op jou uitslae @jaime_m.atfield ! Now for a new phase. Potch here we come!”

The post also convinced many that she had already had her university admission when the Springbok legend mentioned, ‘Potch here we come.’

Rumour mill has it that she might be going to North-West University in Potchefstroom. Fans and fellow celebrities quickly flood his comments section with congratulatory messages.

Little is known about Matfield’s exact results, but many were more than convinced that she had a bachelor’s pass.

Last year he gifted her daughter Jamie a sleek white Chery for her 18th birthday. The Springbok legend shared photos with her children as they received the car from the dealership.

Victor Matfield captioned the post, “Happy 18th birthday.”

CLASS OF 2024 MAKES HISTORY

After all, Jamie joins thousands of students in the history-making class of 2024.

The singer was part of the history-making class of 2024. Basic Education Minister Siviwe Gwarube revealed that the 2024 matric class achieved 87.3%, the highest pass in South Africa’s history.

The official pass rate was 82.9% in 2023. Gwarube also announced that all provinces had pass rates above 84%, up from 75% in 2023.

Gwarube said that in the matric class of 2024, nearly half of the learners who had taken the NSC examinations had received a bachelor’s pass.

“A total of 47.8% of candidates qualified for admission to Bachelor studies, a significant improvement from last year’s 40.9% and represents the highest number of Bachelor passes in recent history. This is a 6.9% increase from last year,” she said.
