ESwatini-born DJ and record producer Uncle Waffles has quickly risen to international stardom and has spent a good part of her 2024 touring and booking international shows. Feeding her music lover fans, she is set to release her new EP “4 da Hos”, however, fans are not sure how to feel about the photoset she used to promote her new track.

Since her video DJying and dancing to smash hit ‘Adiwele’ went viral, Uncle Waffles, born Lungelihle Zwane has capitalised on the clout and has become one of mzansi’s biggest amapiano exports. It appears that 2024 was a year dedicated to Waffles’ craft as a performer and DJ as she focused on touring, appearances and booking massive shows across the world. She also has made a name for herself in the fashion and styling space with her alternative and maximalist style which is often a hit or miss for her audience.

Taking to her Instagram, Waffles revealed that due to only dropping one song this year, she will be treating her fans to her ‘4 da Hos’ EP which consists of three star-studded tracks, featuring the likes of sensations Uncool MC and Xduppy who have quickly become fan favourites in the amapiano space. This will give the popular DJ’s fans something new to enter the new year with, and potentially provide some festive favourites for all to jam to.

Although excited about the thought of new music from their favourite artist, some fans have expressed concern over some of the promo used by Uncle Waffles for this EP. The ‘Kilimanjaro’ hitmaker shared a photoset which included an image of herself lying next to a significantly older white man, garnering a plethora of concerning assumptions and deductions, with some fans drawing comparisons to the infamous Hugh Hefner’s Playboy Mansion and relationship set-up.

“Where did you get the white old man?” one Instagram user inquires.
