South African singer Tyla turned heads at Paris Fashion Week with a daring, fashion-forward ensemble, dubbed a ‘naked’ dress, despite the city’s icy temperatures.

The Water hitmaker attended the Jacquemus Menswear Fall-Winter 2025/2026 show recently. She made a striking statement in a high-neck gown featuring side cutouts that bared her hips—a bold twist on the popular “naked dress” trend. Styled with chunky crystal-striped hoop earrings and Jacquemus’ Cubisto pointed-toe slingback heels, Tyla’s look earned applause from fashion insiders and fans alike.

Taking to Instagram, the 22-year-old shared a series of photos from the event, humorously captioning: “The way we have to pretend like it’s not Antarctica weather outside. Yoh hai, it’s cold here.”

Tyla’s Paris appearance continues her meteoric rise as a global style icon. Over the past year, she has consistently topped best-dressed lists, thanks to her collaboration with leading stylists like Lee Trigg, Katie Qian, and Ron Hartleben. Her wardrobe choices range from Balmain to Christian Cowan, cementing her status as a fashion force to be reckoned with.

This Paris Fashion Week appearance marks Tyla’s first international outing following her successful South African tour, which concluded with a high-energy show at Pretoria’s SunBet Arena on the 18th of January. The performance streamed across 44 African countries on Showmax and received rave reviews. Tyla called it her “favourite show yet” in a heartfelt X (formerly Twitter) post.

Fans who missed the live stream can catch the performance on Showmax starting Thursday, the 30th of January. It will also air on Mzansi Wethu (DStv 163) on Saturday, 1st of February , 2025, at 8.30 pm, with a repeat on Tuesday, the 4th of February , at 4.00 pm.

From her trailblazing music career to her groundbreaking red-carpet looks, Tyla continues to push boundaries, solidifying her position as one of South Africa’s brightest international stars.
