Orlando Piratesmidfielder Patrick ‘Tito’ Maswanganyihas earned himself a new nickname.
The 27-year-old star was spotted with a new hairstyle during the pre-season training in Spain. Speaking to SuperSport presenter Thomas Mlambo, the Pirates star revealed that he was a fan of American hip-hop artist Travis Scott.
“I heard the masterchef (Sipho Mbule) calling you Travis Scott, is that your new nickname?” Thomas Mlambo asked Tito.
“That’s my new nickname,” he replied. “I just like Travis Scott a lot, I play his music, so that’s why they call me Travis Scott.”

On the new hairstyle, Maswanganyi revealed he always wanted to have a ‘Travis Scott-like hairstyle’.
“I think it’s something I wanted to do during the offseason. It’s my new look for the new season,” he said.
Tito will no doubt featured when the Buccaneers kick off their 2025/26 Preseason Tour in Marbella, Spain, with a clash against English outfit Bolton Wanderers on Friday.
The encounter promises to be more than just a friendly – it’s a first look at the club’s latest signings and the debut outing for newly appointed head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou.

So far, the Buccaneers have signed nine new players and fans can see them in action for the very first time against Bolton. One player whose eyes will be on is Bafana Bafana winger Oswin Appollis. The 23-year-old was a surprise signing for the Soweto giants.
