HOW TO EASILY GET YOUR SASSA GRANT IN YOUR BANK ACCOUNT?
SASSA grant beneficiaries can switch from using their SASSA cards to receive payments to using a bank account. This account can either be an existing one or a new one from a bank of their choice.
Switching to receiving your grant in a bank account takes a few simple steps. Find out what you need to do below.
- Open a new bank account at a bank of your choice
- Or, use your existing bank account, but ensure it is activate to be able to receive payments
- Obtain an Annexure C form from a SASSA office near you or their website to request for your grant payments to be made in a bank account
- Get the Annexure C form filled at the bank you want to receive your grant from
- Once completed and stamped you can submit the form with your banking details to a SASSA office
- You will then start receiving your grant straight into your bank account
BENEFITS OF USING A BANK ACCOUNT
Some of the benefits of using a bank account are that your SASSA grant is paid directly into your bank. Also, beneficiaries using accounts can usually be able to receive payments from the first of every month.
The receiving of SASSA grant payments in your account depends on when you switch to a bank account instead of the SASSA card. Normal bank charges will apply when recipients start using this form of payment.
