Just a day after parting ways with Casric Stars, FARPost has it on good authority that Tabiso Mpame has joined a new PSL club Kruger United in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
On Thursday 18 October 2024, this publication reported that Mpame terminated his contract with the Mpumalanga outfit after the relationship between the two parties got sour.
The talented winger, aged 27, joined Casric in July 2023 after leaving Cape Town Spurs FC, where he had contributed to their promotion to the top league in the 2022/23 season.
During the previous season, Mpame participated in 10 matches for Casric, helping the club secure a seventh-place finish on the Motsepe Foundation Championship log standings with 43 points from 30 matches.
In the current term, Mpame has not featured in any game for Casric since the SA second-tier campaign resumed.
HOW LONG IS TABISO MPAME’S CONTRACT LENGTH AT KRUGER UNITED?
This website understands that Mpame has joined Kruger on a short-term deal with the aim of adding value to the team’s midfield options.
So far, Kruger has played six matches. They won one, lost three, and drew two, placing them in 13th position on the standings with a total of five points.
This is Kruger’s first season in the Motsepe Foundation Championship. The team gained promotion to the professional football ranks after finishing as one of the two finalists at the SAFA’s ABC Motsepe League National Playoffs held in Upington, Northern Cape, in June this year. The team was only 10 months old when it gained its historic promotion.
With the blend of the experienced and the fresh talent of young players from the ABC Motsepe League, the team aims to transition smoothly to the professional level and strive to stay in the league.
KRUGER UNITED’S NEXT ASSIGNMENT
Kruger will take on Venda FC in their next league match away from home on Saturday, 19 October 2024. The game will start at 15:30.
