Sjava excited to be South Africa’s most streamed Hip Hop artist on Spotify
Sjava expresses himself in a lengthy note following reports of him being the most streamed SA Hip Hop artist in 2024 on Spotify.
The streaming platform released the top 5 SA artists and Sjava was the only non-amapiano musician on the list.
Kabza De Small, Kelvin Momo, DJ Maphorisa, Mellow & Sleazy were the other artists on the list.
Fans of the Umcebo hitmaker took to social media to congratulate him for the feat.
Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter) Sjava revealed how he attained this success.
“I spend sleepless nights writing perfecting my pen abanye baze bangihleke bathi ngine stress ngihamba ngikhuluma ngedwa kanti ngiyabhala if you want these results invest in your writing because at the end of the day its all about what you saying you need to say something for me to go listen to you the question will always be UTHINI?????? Drake is number 1 in the world simply because we can all hear what he is saying asicikozeni,” he wrote.
He further showed gratitude to people who appreciate his writing and music.

Sjava appreciates his producer, Emtee’s record label and the African Trap movement.
