The event’s sense of purpose was further elevated by the presence of representatives from the Black Mambas Anti-Poaching Unit, including two of its female rangers who previously attended the New York Let’s Do Dinner event in September. As South Africa’s first all-female anti-poaching unit, the Black Mambas are powerful symbols of resilience and embody Stella Artois’s commitment to supporting communities with a mission.

Guests arrived at the stunning 92 Rivonia venue in Sandton, dressed to impress in line with the “Modern Sophistication” theme, adding sophistication and glamour to an evening filled with vibrant cultural exchange. The night included a stirring spoken word performance by Puno The Poet, soulful music from acclaimed Afro-soul artists Ami Faku and Bongeziwe Mabandla. DJ sets from Zara, Justin Chalice, Sheldon, and DJ Just Mo kept the energy high throughout the evening.

The immersive, glamorous event was also a stunning tribute to the unifying power of the arts, connecting people through food, music, and poetry while highlighting South Africa’s rich creative spirit.

“For an artist to have access to the kind of platform where you can engage on a human level and explain your creative process while exploring what you love most is a rare privilege. Through my music I try to bring people together, so this was a night which was truly meaningful,” said Bongeziwe.

Stella Artois is also partnering with Bongeziwe on his 10-date national tour which begins in Cape Town on November 15, ending in Soweto on November 29, and which aims to set a new benchmark for live music in South Africa through an accessible yet elevated experience that echoes his international acclaim.

Estee Burger, Marketing Manager for Stella Artois, shared her thoughts on the night: “This was an evening of connection, creativity, and culture that left everyone feeling inspired and uplifted. From the captivating entertainment to the shared experience of breaking bread together, we saw the power of human connection come to life. At Stella Artois, we’re inspired by the people and culture of South Africa, embodying the values of togetherness, creativity, and community—all things truly worth more.”
