The South African Police Service (SAPS) has called on two men, Thato David Madisha and Sello ‘Skhalo’ Uoane, to surrender themselves to authorities in connection with the killings of journalist Aserie Ndlovu and his partner, Zodwa Mdhluli.

The couple had been missing since 18 February 2025.

Their bodies were recently discovered following an intensive investigation by a multidisciplinary police team.

Crucial information

SAPS believes that Madisha and Uoane may have played a direct role in the kidnapping and murder, or hold crucial information related to the crime.

“While tracking teams are on the ground searching for the pair, the two suspects are also advised to voluntarily hand themselves over at their nearest police station,” SAPS said in a public statement.

Sello Uoane is currently out on parole for a rape conviction, further intensifying concerns about his whereabouts.

Four individuals have already been arrested in connection with the case and face charges including murder, theft, and car-jacking.

The arrests and discovery of the bodies follow weeks of investigation by law enforcement authorities.

Members of the public who may have any knowledge of the suspects’ whereabouts are urged to contact the investigating officer, Lieutenant Colonel Maboko, directly at 072 030 2794.

SAPS reiterated its commitment to bringing all those responsible for the crime to justice and encouraged communities to come forward with any relevant information.

Any chance they surrender as requested?
