“This ambassadorship with Bongi ties in perfectly with our new sponsorship of schools netball,” says Vuyo Henda, Spur Corporation’s Chief Marketing Officer. “We felt that Bongi would be a great fit to further develop the partnership and we are thrilled that we are further able to support her cause in the development of the sport.”

Having risen to the top of her sport from humble beginnings, Msomi has always been extremely passionate about philanthropic ventures and providing a source of hope for the many young girls who may have a passion for netball.

It’s also with this in mind that Msomi says she immediately gravitated to the partnership with Spur.

“I was thrilled to hear of Spur’s sponsorship of schools netball that showcases their commitment to encourage children and families to lead happy and active lifestyles,” Msomi said. “The opportunity for us to now work together to continue promoting the sport is an extremely exciting prospect.”

Roc Nation Sports International’s South Africa-based MD, Mahlatse Mashua, said it was a proud moment to see Msomi continue to build her legacy with such a dynamic ambassadorship.

“We are so pleased to have facilitated this partnership between a proudly South African brand such as Spur and an athlete who is such an inspiration on and off the netball court. After the recent Netball World Cup, Bongi’s profile has never been higher than it is right now, and I’m certain this collaboration with Spur will prove to be a great success.”
