A host of celebrated celebrities are making headlines after they visited award-winning rapper award-winning rapper Da Les – real name Leslie Mampe – who is recovering from a stroke.
Over the years, the music world has often been described as a brotherhood, a unity that binds artists together, and this hasn’t spared the South African music industry.
THE NORTH GOD DISCHARGED FROM HOSPITAL
The visit has since warmed the hearts of many. The All Eyes on Me rapper was admitted on his 39th birthday after suffering a stroke in July.
Da LES suffered a stroke at his Bryanston mansion, known for hosting his star-studded parties. He was admitted to Charlotte Maxeke and South Rand hospitals.
However, in October, The South Africanexclusively revealed that Da LES had been discharged after his family requested to bring him back home.
The publication was informed that Da Les was significantly improving in rehab and learning to walk again.
Despite the news of his discharge from the hospital, several photos of the star flooded social media. However, against the trends, Da LES gave a press statement providing an update on his road to recovery.
“Da LES is incredibly thankful for the outpouring of love, support and prayers from his fans, friends and everyone who has reached out.
He will continue to update everyone on his healing process and appreciates all the encouragement. Healing takes time, but he’s staying positive and focused on a full recovery,” reads the statement.
SOUTH AFRICAN CELEBRITIES SHOW SUPPORT FOR DA LES AFTER STROKE
With Da LES showing huge signs of improvement, many celebrities recently visited him.
Popular X user @MalumeRichie shared a photo of Cassper Nyovest, L-Tido and other celebrities with The North God.
The photos have gained thousands of comments and reactions since they dropped online. Little is known about when they were taken, but Mzansi was convinced it was earlier this week.
It’s good to have people in your corner, even during tough times, and to thrust celebrities into top trends. On the other hand, fans were quick to share their two cents.
AKA was quickly implicated in the mix, seemingly because of Cassper Nyovest’s presence. The late rapper was a friend to Da LES.
An X user commented, “It’s really great to see that Da LES is recovering. My goodness, he went through something so scary! I wish him continued healing.
“And it’s great to see that he has people around him to encourage him!”
