Kaizer Chiefs are in search for a striker to boost their opportunities of converting their chances upfront in 2025.

Chiefs are known to be scouring the globe in the hope of finding a striker that can deliver.

In the current campaign there has been very little to suggest that will change. Currently, Chiefs are relying on Ranga Chivaviro and Ashley du Preez as their main source of goals. The duo have not been a overwhelming successes as again, like previous seasons have performed in flashes. In the attacking midfield ranks, they have been relying mainly on 20-year-old Mduduzi Shabalala as their chief creator. The likes of Gaston Sirino and Nkosingiphile Ngcobo can also slot in comfortably in the role.

Chiefs subsequently looking for attacking boost

This publication recently reported that Chiefs have switched their striker to 21-year-old striker Clement Mzize. Despite being a youngster, he already offers experience playing for big club and on the continent. He would offer Amakhosi pedigree, goal scoring ability and a long-term solution upfront. He is just one player from Yanga SC that seems to be interesting his former coach Nasreddine Nabi

The other is Stephane Aziz Ki who was of interest to Chiefs and Pirates in the previous window. Now according to Soccer-Laduma, former Mamelodi Sundowns coach Rulani Mokwena will try to sign the duo for Wydad Casablanca.

Mokwena to beat them to Aziz Ki and Mzize, however,

“Wydad Athletic Club are reportedly close to opening negotiations with a striker who has been heavily linked with Kaizer Chiefs. According to Anbaetv, the Red Castle are set to begin negotiations with Young Africans duo Clement Mzize and attacking midfielder Stephane Aziz Ki. Both players have been rumoured to be of interest to South African outfit Chiefs in the past. if the Soweto giants are to complete the signings of the Yanga duo, they need to act fast as the Moroccan giants are poised to make their first move in hopes of bringing them to Casablanca. The record Botola Pro Inwi champions’ interest in Mzize and Aziz Ki goes back as far as the offseason window.” Wrote the publication.

Chiefs fans, how big of blow would it be to miss out on Mzize and Aziz Ki? Feel free to leave your thoughts and comments aside.
