Business tycoon Robert Gumede is trending after more photos and videos of his famous Mpumalanga mega-mansion flooded online.
The mansion is in a picturesque plot in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga, South Africa, overlooking Mbombela.
The photos and videos have gained thousands of comments and reactions since being posted on Instagram.
A LOOK AT ROBERT GUMEDE’S MEGA-MANSION
Rumour has it that Gumede has a colourful business portfolio worth millions if not billions. Like those before him, he has splurged a fortune on his life of glitz and glamour.
Despite being one of the most celebrated businessmen in South Africa, Robert Gumede has managed to keep his private life under wraps, leaving many to guess.
However, thanks to his huge following, he often trends whenever he posts or gets posted. Several bloggers took to social media to share photos and videos of the mega-mansion.
Surprisingly, one of the now-viral videos making rounds gives fans a different view from previous viral clips.
In the trending video, one can glimpse Robert Gumede’s main gate entrance, a sneak peek of the mega-mansion that has since been dubbed Muphumalanga’s White House.
Despite the trend of videos, little is known about when they were taken.
In recent years, fans have likened the white mega-mansion to upmarket malls, while some have likened its architectural designs to the famous Mobutu’s hideaway palace along the Congo River.
Robert Gumede’s mansion is undoubtedly opulent and stands above the rest. However, apart from the shared clips, little is known about how many rooms the mega-mansion boasts.
BUSINESS PORTFOLIO AND NET WORTH
According to several sources, Robert Gumede is a celebrated business tycoon with an estimated net worth of R3 billion.
However, the business tycoon hasn’t openly addressed the report. He is the founder of Gijima Technologies, a subsidiary of the Gijima group. The IT firm is the largest back-owned firm in Africa.
In 2022, the celebrated business mogul was appointed to serve on the foundation advisory board of FIFA, the world football governing body.
Robert Gumede has been heavily involved in sports. He was behind Nelspruit Dangerous Darkies FC’s glory days, taking them from the fifth division to the Premier Soccer League.
He was also the club’s administrator and owner. Of interest, he went down in the history books as the youngest owner of a PSL club in the early 80s and 90s.
He also became involved in rugby after buying a 49% stake in the South African rugby club, the Lions.
