Former Real Housewives of Durban (RHOD) cast member Annie Ludick-Mthembu and her husband Kgolo ‘Daguru’ Mthembu reportedly face financial challenges as Kgolo’s nightclub businesses fail.

Earlier this year it was reported that Annie would not be returning to season 4 of the reality show as her husband needed to take a mental health break by staying away from the cameras due to one of their nightclubs being robbed.

Taking to Instagram she posted, “I had to sit this season out because I needed a mental health break, some time for reflection and also to focus on my businesses which have been growing in the background and this time around needed me to be more present to assist with their growth.”

While the Mthembus now live a more private life, entertainment publication, ZiMoja states that, Daguru has had his fair share of financial challenges this year. Apart from being robbed he has been unable to pay staff members their salaries due to his businesses not making enough money.

The entertainment publication further explained that producer and DJ Bongz recently bought one of Kgolo’s nightclubs as it was about to shut down.

Speaking to news publication, SundayWorld regarding his financial problems, Kgolo said, “I did what most club owners won’t do. When my manager died, I took care of his children, but today, when I turn my back, people are busy tarnishing my name left and right. I normally won’t talk to the media, but now I feel I need to say my piece because people want to see me out in the cold, and I can see they don’t respect my family.”
