Kaizer Chiefs came up trumps against Stellenbosch to hoist themselves into the top four.
Happier days have finally dawned for Nasreddine Nabi. After a turbulent few months, he is finally weaving his signature style into an AmaKhosi side crackling with newfound energy.
Castillo latest
Edson Castillo, who fractured his fibula in late October, is out of contract at the end of the season – Egyptian giants Zamalek SC are monitoring the 30-year-old, who has a market value of around R8.6 million.
“There have been several inquiries but the main one which seems serious is from Zamalek,” SoccerLaduma commented.
“They had inquired before but at that time Chiefs were not willing to let him go. At the moment it seems he could leave for free as the club doesn’t seem keen to extend his contract,
“It’s his choice actually if Chiefs don’t renew and if Zamalek are interest in him it will depend on the talks between the player and Zamalek. Of course, there have been inquiries and with Thabo Cele at the team now and the injury that Castillo suffered, this is chance now.”
If Castillo opts against renewing his contract with Kaizer Chiefs, the club risks losing him for fee.
Kaizer Chiefs to go for Zwane?
Another midfield maestro nearing the end of his contract is Mamelodi Sundowns’ Themba Zwane—a player the Glamour Boys could potentially snap up without spending a cent.
