Vehicle linked to Sekhukhune United star

Authorities confirm that the abandoned vehicle found at the accident site belongs to Shaune Mogaila, a 29-year-old player for Sekhukhune United. Eyewitnesses reported the crash around 7:30 AM on Andrew Mapheto Road, where the mother and her 13-year-old daughter were trapped inside their car. Emergency responders rushed them to nearby medical facilities, but the tragedy unfolded as the younger girl succumbed to her injuries at the scene.

Police discover disturbing evidence

Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department spokesperson Thabiso Makgato provided further details on the investigation. “When we arrived at the scene, we found four bottles of Don Julio alcohol and a powder, which we suspect could be cocaine, along with weed edibles in his vehicle,” Makgato stated. The investigation has revealed that a female driver was transporting her daughter when the tragic accident occurred.

Makgato confirmed that the authorities have opened a case for culpable homicide, reckless and negligent driving, and leaving the scene of an accident at the Tembisa South police station.

Mogaila’s recent performance under scrutiny

Just a day before this tragic event, Shaune Mogaila played for Sekhukhune United, donning jersey number 12 during their match against Richards Bay at Peter Mokaba Stadium. The team secured a 2-0 victory, with goals from Siphesihle Mkhize and Sipho Mbule. Currently, Sekhukhune United sits third on the Betway Premiership log, having won three of their first five matches.

Just recently, Marumo Gallants star Gabadinho Mhango, known for his time with Orlando Pirates, has placed his football career in serious jeopardy. Mhango crashed his Polo TSI into a Toyota Quantum while under the influence of alcohol in Bloemfontein. A witness also reported that the former Orlando Pirates player had four female passengers in his vehicle.
