Orlando Pirates‘ rising star Mohau Nkota (19) has touched on about his partnership with Relebohile Mofokeng (20).

Nkota announced himself to South African football when he scored twice against AmaZulu on Friday night at the Orlando Stadium. The Buccaneers won the match 2-1 to maintain a 100% record for their 2024/25 season.

The 19-year-old’s goals were assisted by Relebohile Mofokeng, who has been one of the team’s best players in the past two seasons.

“Playing with Rele, it is our combination. Both of us [are] youngsters, it is in the blood,” Nkota on Mofokeng.

The young attacker from Orlando Pirates was coached by former Bucs winger Joseph Makhanya in the DStv Diski Challenge.

Nkota and Mofokeng make a deadly combination

“I’d like to say thank you to coach Duku Duku for the advice that he has given me and thank you for everything that he’s done for me,” Nkota said as per GOAL.

“Also to Mxoliso, who is the manager of the DDC [team], thank you for everything he has done for us. I thank coach Jose Riveiro for giving me this opportunity. Thanks for everything he has done to help.

“It’s been an opportunity for me, it’s been a long time for me, so I have to process and unpack everything. Thank you to all of them.”

Nkota and Mofokeng will be in action for Pirates on Tuesday against TS Galaxy.
