WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM THE MOVIE?

Brenda Ngxoli, who plays Naledi Cele, shared her thoughts on why she agreed to be featured in the movie.

“I always like choosing characters that have meaning. I felt that this storyline needed to be told. The role of a mother is something that needs to be highlighted in society. Behind these high walls, success comes at a price, and sometimes love is the ultimate prize,” she said.

Fezile Mpela, who plays Mandla, said: “Viewers can expect a lot of backstabbing, jealousy, betrayal, and love.”

He added: “Because it’s the first MGM production in South Africa, that was the biggest thing for me. Additionally, having an international actor in the storyline made it even more exciting.”

Rendani Mufamadi, who plays Neo, explained why the movie will resonate with audiences.

“It’s going to resonate over time in terms of the characters. These are characters we have all met and interacted with. We relate to them because they exist in our communities as well.”

“We wanted to create a film that wasn’t just funny, but cleverly chaotic, deeply South African. An effortlessly stylish—a rom-com that combines sharp wit with real heart,” said Carla Fonseca Mokgata, writer and co-producer of the movie.
