Actress and media personality Pearl Thusi has made it clear that she will not entertain criticism from those aiming to break down her confidence.

The 36-year-old appears to be doing well for herself as she continues expanding her horizons by entering spaces in the entertainment industry she had never tested before. Her hard work and dedication are a testament to her character as someone who is determined to make her dreams become a reality.

These past few months alone, she has shown the rest of mzansi that multiple facets make up who she is as a person by showcasing her skills after making a transition into DJing.

This was not all as she recently also saw the materialising of her own Comedy Central roast called The Roast of Pearl Thusi – and premiered her first ever reality show called, The Real Black Pearl.

Meanwhile, as they say with great success comes great criticism, and this was not too far-fetched of a saying when it comes to the proud mother of two who has been criticised from all sides on social media platforms.

After finally being overwhelmed by the influx of comments about her appearance and rumours that she was on substance abuse, she commented:

“Why say these terrible things? I’m someone’s mum, a human, with feelings. I’m God’s child.”

She added that while she was not happy with the words spoken about her, she refused to give this the power to affect her.

“Whatever energy sent must return to punish its origin. Your healing isn’t my concern since you’re affecting my happiness. You’re God’s problem, not mine,” she said.
