Owen Da Gama’s Vondwe XI Bullets convincingly defeated Black Leopards 4-1 in the SAFA Limpopo ABC Motsepe League on Saturday afternoon, achieving two consecutive victories after a bad start to the season.
Vondwe’s defeat by Munaca FC in the first week of the provincial amateur league served as a wake-up call for them.
Da Gama’s team currently holds third place in Stream A standings with six points, trailing Munaca, who are one point ahead.
Meanwhile, Sunrise FC under the guidance of ex-Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs player Punch Masenamela have not lost a match this season. They secured their third straight victory with a 1-0 win against Ngwaabe City Motors FC on the road.
Sunrise are now placed second in Stream B with nine points, tied with The Dolphins who are leading the stream after three games into the new season.
