Rachel Kolisi – the soon-to-be ex-wife of Springbok captain and Sharks star Siya – has seemingly thrown shade at her former spouse with a series of cryptic comments.
The popular player and the social media influencer announced their split and impending divorce in October 2024.
In recent weeks, Siya has removed the title “husband” and a profile picture featuring Rachel from his Instagram profile. He’s also deleted highlights of IG Stories featuring his former partner.
RACHEL KOLISI THROWS SHADE AT EX?
In an Instagram post, Rachel Kolisi shared a series of quotes that she claimed would be her mantra in 2025.
Several of them alluded to her ex, Siya Kolisi, and their marriage, which ended after eight years. Others spoke about self-growth and “being around good people.”
Here is a look at a few “shady” ones…
“You deserve to be loved and chosen. Not almost loved and almost chosen.”
“Stay away from people who act like a victim in a problem they created”.
If you ended the cycle of giving second chances that only left you in second place, you should be ridiculously proud of yourself.”
“Are you in love? No, I’m in Cape Town”
“Let the kids believe in Santa. You believed in your ex 25 times”
In his 2023 documentary and autobiography, Rise, Siya admitted to having a rocky relationship with Rachel after confessing to excessive partying, heaving drinking, being addicted to porn, and frequenting strip clubs. There was also the impression that Siya had been unfaithful to his wife.

Meanwhile, Siya Kolisi gave the public the impression that he was ready to move on from Rachel after he updated his Instagram account.
On New Year’s Day, he removed his profile picture of himself with his ex-partner and the title “husband” from his IG biography.
Siya also deleted his IG highlights – a selection of Stories – in which he featured pics of South Africa’s beloved couple.
Siya replaced his profile pic with one of him as Springboks captain. His bio now reads “Father, Brother.”
