Orlando Pirates want to add two in-form Betway Premiership talents to their squad when the January transfer window rolls around.

Pirates target Kwayiba in January

Orlando Pirates are the frontrunners to sign new Bafana star Sinoxolo Kwayiba. The 24-year-old Chipa attacking midfielder has broken onto the scene in recent weeks. The newly-crowned MTN8 winners are willing to part ways with cash and a player to get their man, according to SoccerLaduma.

“Pirates are the ones who have moved faster in trying to acquire the services of Sinoxolo (Kwayiba). The technical team has been impressed so far with what they have seen from the player and that’s why they want to involve a player exchange to influence the deal. It could be money plus players involved. But what I can tell you is that Pirates are in the forefront to get him.”

Pirates also want Stellies defender Moloisane

Stellies centre-back Thabo Moloisane has gone from strength to strength. The Cape Winelands club defender came through at Sundowns but he’s found a home with the Carling Knockout holders.

“The club is working hard to find at least a central defender to be backup or cover in case of injuries and suspensions. The team feels that with injuries in central defense, they need a player like Thabo Moloisane and now that’s why they have reignited their interest in him again. Obviously, for now, that could only happen in January. But, yet, the interest has always been there and now it’s just a revisit of that interest,” the Siya source told the same publication.

Makgopa is back among the goals

Evidence Makgopa, nicely assisted by Thabiso Sesane, and Deon Hotto were on the score sheet for Pirates as they returned to winning ways with a 2-0 success over SuperSport. This was the perfect tonic for their surprise Carling Knockout defeat to Magesi. The Buccaneers now sit at the summit of a fledgling Betway Premiership table alongside Sundowns with a perfect record of four wins from four assignments. SuperSport are languishing with four points from their opening five matches. Next up they face AmaZulu on Friday 25 October at 19:30.
