Orlando Pirates get GREAT NEWS!

Orlando Pirates received some welcome news regarding the future of Monnapule Saleng.

The pacey winger hasn’t featured once this year and was considered to be heading out the door during the January transfer market.

Saleng started the season strong, playing a pivotal role in Orlando Pirates’ MTN8 Cup success and historic opening season seven-win run.

According to a SoccerLaduma source, the Bafana stars return to the Buccaneers line-up is imminent:

“Who is saying that [Saleng will leave]?,” they questioned.

“There is no such thing and he remains a Orlando Pirates player. He would have been released in January if that was the case, but that didn’t happen because he is still in the club’s plans,

“You can see that there is space for him in the like when [Mohau] Nkota didn’t have a great game in the derby, he [Saleng] would have been an option to replace him had he been available, but he was not in the matchday squad. He will be back.”

Rhodes inbound?

Cape Town City youngster Jaedin Rhodes is on Orlando Pirates’ radar, and could be heading to Soweto after this season concludes:

“He (Rhodes) has been one of their (Pirates’) targets for some time now,” SoccerLadumaconfirmed.

“They have been monitoring him though there hasn’t been much happening. They were targeting him for the January transfer window period.

“Now that it didn’t happen they have more time to work on it and will see what happens in the next window. But they are interested in him. That I can tell you.”

Orlando Pirates’ enquiry into Rhodes was further confirmed by another SLsource, who said, “obviously, they (Pirates) will either loan some out or release some as well. But that’s the time they need to work on their squad and since it didn’t happen in January then they will work on it in the off season. Rhodes is one player on that list already.“

Should Orlando Pirates buy Rhodes?
