Orlando Pirates never push pause on searching for new players. New reports say a new central midfielder could arrive in a few months.
ORLANDO PIRATES TO SIGN THATO KHIBA?
Khiba, formerly a Kaizer Chiefs star in the DStv Diski Challenge (DDC), joined TS Galaxy in 2022 before becoming one of coach Sea Rovamic’s biggest star players in 2023/24.
With two goals and two assists in 24 matches last season, the 27-year-old central midfielder got noticed by the mighty Orlando Pirates.
According to the report, Orlando Pirates were the first interested party, before Kaizer Chiefs and Stellenbosch FC later entered the race.
“For now, there are other clubs that have joined the race for his services. First, it was the Pirates who showed interest first, and then the Chiefs, followed by Stellenbosch FC, have also inquired about him,” a source told Soccer Laduma.
“So that is why I a that there are a number of teams in the race for Thato (Khiba),” the source added.
