Controversial music executive, Nhlamulo Baloyi, popularly known as Nota, has been released from prison.
Nota had reportedly been sentenced to 60 days of direct imprisonment for contempt of court. He was allegedly arrested for a defamation of character civil suit involving rapper Ntokozo Mdluli, popularly known as K.O.
The commotion is said to have ensued last year, when K.O. who was one of the slain rapper Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes’ friend, set his lawyers on Nota alleging that he made damaging statements about him following AKA’s death.
Nota said on public platforms that K.O. failed to protect AKA and implicated K.O.’s brother, Siya Mdluli in the late rapper’s death.
Recently, Nota made his presence felt when he posted on his X (formerly Twitter) page after a little over two weeks of his brief stint behind bars: “Who’s hosting us for Thanksgiving dinner? Christmas is too far!”

Speaking to Daily Sun, he said: “It’s very difficult in there, spending time and sharing a room with murders, rapists and all kinds of monsters. It’s very difficult to survive in there,” said Nota.
Nota also told the publication about his final moments in prison and the last meal he had.
“My last meal in prison was Chicken Licken, and after being released, I had pasta from Food Lovers Market,” he said.
As much as Nota’s legal issues are not over, with a pending case of rape against him involving actress and singer, Itumeleng Bokaba; he looks forward to reuniting with his family for Christmas holidays.
