Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi has reportedly rejected an offer from Raja Athletic Club.

The 59-year-old joined Amakhosi in July following a short stint with AS FAR Rabat. During his time with the Moroccan side, Nabi finished second in the Botola league, just a point behind Raja. Now the same team that denied him a league title, are reportedly making advances towards him.

Since he arrived at Kaizer Chiefs, Nabi has made a few changes to the team, bringing in seven new players. Despite a positive start in the Betway Premiership, Amakhosi have found the going tough in the past five matches winning just once.

Raja reportedly inquired about Nabi’s availability but the Tunisian mentor committed to his current position.

“I have confidence in my players, and I have confidence in the future,” Nabi said as per FARPost.

Nabi stays with Kaizer Chiefs…for now

” We are in the right direction, we are clear, and myself and my technical team are confident.

“Kaizer Chiefs are in the right direction. I am 100 per cent sure that we are in the right direction. Don’t worry, we need to support players, we need to help them.”

“I know it’s not easy, this is football, and the only problem is scoring, but I observe the problem of my team, and we will get it right,” he said.

Nabi’s task is to get Kaizer Chiefs back to the top again. The Soweto giants have not tasted silverware in nearly 10 years and he has the Nedbank Cup to fight for next year still.

Should Nabi have accepted Raja offer?
