With the holiday season upon us, it’s the perfect time to catch up on local reality shows you may have missed due to being swamped with work.

Now that you are enjoying the holidays and have more time to watch TV, here is a list of reality shows that are guaranteed to keep you entertained and glued to your screen.

If you enjoy watching opulent African stars showing off how they spend their day, then this show is for you. This reality show is set against the backdrop of a crew of famous affluent stars as they work, play, flirt and feud in Johannesburg. The show stars Khanyi Mbau, Diamond Platinumz and the Naked DJ. You can binge watch this reality show on Netflix.

2. Unfollowed

If you are that one person who enjoys controversial conversations, here is your tea. Hosted by Spitch Nzawumbi, the reality series which airs on Showmax takes a deep look into the personal and professional impact of cancel culture on SA celebrities. With each episode exploring a different public figure and the controversies that led to their cancelation.

3. Love Never Lies: South Africa

This reality show is worth your time, it is the first of its kind in South Africa. Hosted by Minnie Dlamini, the show revolves around six couples who face temptations, and a lie detector test based on eye movement.

4. The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip- South Africa

If you are a fan of The Real Housewives local franchises, then this show is a must-watch. This Showmax show is a spin-off which took eight of South Africa’s most iconic Housewives on a luxury trip to Jamaica.  On the show you will find housewives from Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg, Gqeberha and Pretoria.

5. The Ultimatum: South Africa

If you are looking for something spicy, this one is for you. This show hosted by Tshepo ‘Howza’ Mosese and Salamina Mosese, is set around six couples who subsequently swap partners, this swap then sparks wild attractions and tearful betrayal.
