Meghan Markle dazzled New York City with her timeless style during a chic night out, blending royal elegance with modern flair.
The Duchess of Sussex, 43, stepped out for dinner and a Broadway show on Thursday evening.

She sported a stunning black-and-white ensemble that paid homage to her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana, according to Page Six.
Markle began her evening at the exclusive Polo Bar in Midtown Manhattan, a celebrity hotspot owned by Ralph Lauren.
After savouring the restaurant’s famed dishes, she headed to the Majestic Theatre in Times Square to catch Audra McDonald’s revival of Gypsy.
Markle arrived in style, escorted by a four-vehicle motorcade that included an unmarked NYPD vehicle and decoy cars.

Meghan wore a black button-up blouse paired with a striking houndstooth maxi skirt by Carolina Herrera, valued at approximately R26,000.
She complemented the look with black stiletto heels and minimal jewellery, including what appeared to be a pearl necklace.
Her sleek brunette hair was styled straight with a middle parting, and she opted for understated makeup to complete her polished appearance.
The choice of houndstooth was no coincidence. The pattern is famously associated with Princess Diana, who often wore it during public appearances.
PRINCESS DIANA’S STYLE
One of Diana’s most memorable outfits featured a red-and-white houndstooth jacket paired with a pencil skirt.
This was a look she donned at Princess Eugenie’s christening in 1990 and later during a visit to Toronto in 1991.

After enjoying the two-hour-and-forty-minute performance of Gypsy, Meghan met Audra McDonald backstage.
She shared her excitement on Instagram. “If you get a chance to see @gypsybway, you absolutely must. Congratulations to the tremendously talented cast and crew for creating magic on that stage.”
She praised McDonald’s performance as “absolutely speechless” and added that there wasn’t “a dry eye in the house.”

While Meghan enjoyed her glamorous outing in New York, Prince Harry was on a humanitarian trip to Ukraine.
The Duke of Sussex met war victims and Natalia Kalmykova, Ukraine’s Minister of Veterans Affairs, as part of his ongoing efforts to support global causes.
Earlier in the week, Harry made headlines for his court appearances in London as he sought to reinstate his British security detail.
