Mariah Carey is set to celebrate the 20th anniversary of her landmark album, The Emancipation of Mimi. She will drop a spectacular new edition releasing on 30 May 2025 via Def Jam Records/UMe.

This special release marks two decades since the album’s original debut in 2005. It was a pivotal moment that revitalised Carey’s career and left a mark on pop and R&B music worldwide.
The Emancipation of Mimi (20th Anniversary Edition) is a lavish five-disc box set featuring a whopping 45 tracks, according to RTT News.
It includes the original album’s iconic hits like It’s Like That, We Belong Together, Shake It Off, Say Somethin’, and Get Your Number.
Fans will also find songs from the Ultra Platinum Edition, such as Don’t Forget About Us, Makin’ It Last All Night (What It Do). But the celebration doesn’t stop there.

The collection is packed with bonus material: dance remixes, a cappella versions, instrumentals, live recordings, and previously unreleased tracks.
One standout is the long-awaited When I Feel It, a track originally held back due to sample clearance issues.
New remixes by acclaimed producers Kaytranada and Esentrik add a fresh twist to classics like Don’t Forget About Us and It’s Like That.

Mariah Carey personally curated the box set, which comes in a beautifully designed slipcase with exclusive packaging.
It also includes a 28-page booklet filled with never-before-seen photos and a heartfelt letter from Carey to her devoted fans, affectionately known as ‘Lambs’.
