TV presenter Luyanda Potwana speaks on his hopes for the return of the most-loved SABC 1 reality show, Nyan’Nyan.

The reality show captured the lives of ordinary individuals on the journey to seek redemption from their loved ones for the harm they have caused them in the past. In the show, Luyanda would have sit-downs with participants, where they would confess and later be helped by a qualified psychologist or counsellor as a way to deal with their issues.

According to news publication, TimesLIVE, in 2021 the show was announced to be coming to an end. At the time, the TV presenter reflected on his journey from taking a bus from his hometown to the big city of Johannesburg in hopes of a better life.

Since ending the show, Luyanda went to further his studies at the University of London where he completed his Bachelor of Science in Psychology studies.

He captioned, “Finally!! I’ve been accepted! I’m now a student for a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology (BSc in Psychology) at the University of London, United Kingdom. This is my first time at a tertiary, since completing my matric 20 years ago — and it had to be at the age of 39, at the University of London — one of the top 20 highest-ranking Universities globally. If there’s a man to pray — then there’s a God to answer!”

Addressing the show’s return on social media, Luyanda wrote:

“If it is the end, can we do one last season to properly say goodbye to the 3 million fans who were loyal to the show?”
