Lisa Manoban, the Thai sensation from Blackpink, turned heads at the Los Angeles premiere of The White LotusSeason 3.
She showcased her elegant take on method dressing. The K-pop star is venturing into acting and attended the premiere on 10 February. She stunned in not one, but two incredible looks.
LISA ON THE RED CARPET
Lisa graced the red carpet in a custom couture gown by Miss Sohee. The dress featured white and light yellow hues, perfectly embodying the exotic theme of the HBO series, according to The Fashion Spot.
The ensemble showcased sheer panels and see-through short sleeves. It also boasted a straight-across neckline and a corset-style bodice.
Petal-like patterns adorned the waistline, a subtle nod to the show’s name, and the bodice flowed into a long, yellow tulle skirt.
The pleated detailing put Lisa’s legs on display with rhinestone and pearl embellishments added a touch of sparkle.
LISA’S STYLE DETAILS
Lisa kept her accessories minimal, ensuring the focus remained on the gown.
She wore sparkly studs and a striking diamond ring, her gold metallic manicure added a touch of glamour. Hathairat NAN NIST Permpoon also styled the K-pop star for the event.
For the after-party, Lisa changed into a Schiaparelli Fall/Winter 2024 dress. The black and white number featured a trompe l’œil black bodysuit, a ruched white skirt, and nude illusion sleeves, according to Elle.
She completed the look with gold cuffs and earrings from the same brand.
WHITE LOTUS SEASON 3
Lisa is set to appear in The White LotusSeason 3, premiering on 16 February. She will play a health mentor for guests.
The K-pop star spoke about her reaction to landing the role.
“I think I cried,” she said. “I was with my friends, my mum’s friends, and my mum as well, but I didn’t tell them that I auditioned for it”.
She also expressed her excitement and nervousness about her first acting project. “I’m super excited and nervous because it’s my first acting project,” Lisa stated.
“So I was happy for a second, and then I was like, ‘Oh, wait, wait, how am I going to deliver this?’”.
KPOP STARS ACTING DEBUT
She remained tight-lipped about the details of the show. However, she noted similarities between acting and shooting music videos, according to W Magazine.
“It’s pretty new to me, but I think it’s similar to shooting music videos,” she said. “I’m excited for my fans to see it”.
At the premiere, Lisa expressed her gratitude. “It is my first acting [experience] so I don’t know what to expect on set,” she told Variety.
“But everybody just being so supportive helped me a lot. So thank you, everyone”.
NEW SEASON IN SA?
Season 3 of The White Lotus is set to premiere on 16 February, and the series will be set in Thailand.
