Layla Kolbe, the wife of Springbok player Cheslin Kolbe, has been called out over a “joke” she made about motherhood.

But was it innocent and blown out of proportion?

LAYLA KOLBE DEFENDS MOTHERHOOD JOKE

In an Instagram Story on Tuesday, 5 November, Layla Kolbe posted a video of her fresh blowout, courtesy of her local hair salon.

The mother-of-three was so impressed with her look, that she claimed she felt “like a private school mom”.

However, one particular follower was not impressed with the insinuation.

She responded, “So what do public moms look like, then? The labels we give each other! Moms are amazing in all forms! Let’s ditch the stereotypes.”

In a follow-up post, Layla added that her “joke” was not meant to offend any mothers.

She said: “Sorry guys, I didnt mean to stereotype private school moms or any kind of school mom. I just feel great”.

Responding to the follower, she added: “Let’s ditch the shaming of women.”

MORE THAN A MOM

While Layla Kolbe spends her time chasing her three busy children around, she’s much more than just a Springbok WAG and mom.

The brunette beauty is actually a qualified chartered accountant who put her career on hold to support her spouse, Cheslin Kolbe.

Recently, the couple launched the Kolbe Foundation, which seeks to help underprivileged communities through upliftment programmes, sports development, and education.

“Super grateful for everyone that made this event possible, including my family and my village back home”, Layla shared in a IG post about the charity venture.
