If big hits and epic clashes are what you partake in for a living, then treating yourself to a holiday is definitely needed to ensure that your body recovers in the best way possible.
Springbok speedster Cheslin Kolbe and his family did exactly this. Following a demanding rugby schedule, there has not been a better time for the wing to enjoy some well-deserved time off than now.
After a successful World Cup campaign in 2023, it was time for Cheslin to start packing bags again, as he ventured over to Japan to start his journey with his new club Suntory Sungoliath, meaning that he had to cut cut time with his family short, so he could head abroad.
Recently, the Springboks assembled once again where they partook in several physical encounters, starting with two matches against Ireland, followed by the Rugby Championship where they faced old foes, New Zealand, Australia and Argentina.
With just weeks to go before the boks tour to Europe, the Kolbes and several others have decided to spend some time in the sun, as they jetted off to the beautiful island of Mauritius.
Pictures uploaded show Cheslin, his wife Layla and their three children embracing the tranquillity and creating tons of memories along the way.
While their getaway only lasted for a week, the 30-year-old father of three later took to Instagram to share that they would be embarking on yet another overseas trip – this time to France.
In multiple posts, the Kolbes can be spotted visiting some close friends abroad. The family indulged in several activities such as Sunday lunches, and later visited two of his former clubs, Toulon and Toulouse, where he was embraced by many of his old teammates, all of whom were more than happy to see them.
In one of his posts, he highlighted that it was his and Layla’s first solo trip without their children.
Meanwhile, he is expected to return to national duties with the Springboks, this comes as they are expected to play three matches against Scotland, England and Wales in November.
