Kaizer Chiefs’ goalkeeping department has remained a prominent subject in local news. Is a new shot-stopper coming to Amakhosi?
KAIZER CHIEFS LINKED WITH TWO GOALKEEPERS
Amakhosi’s three senior goalkeepers have not grabbed the wonderful opportunity to replace the great Itumeleng Khune, namely Brandon Petersen, Fiacre Ntwari and Bruce Bvuma. According to Soccer Laduma, Magesi FC’s veteran goalkeeper Elvis Chipezeze has been offered to Kaizer Chiefs. “Elvis Chipezeze has had an impressive start with Magesi in their first season in the PSL (topflight) and he is encouraged to achieve more” a source told the outlet. “He did very well in helping the team to win the Carling Knockout. Have you ever heard of a player winning Man of the Match awards in four games in a row in a major cup competition? That’s unheard of, and that speaks volumes about his quality as a goalkeeper,” he added.

“He is a player with big dreams, and he has got the experience to qualify him to play for any team in the League. I can confirm that Elvis has been offered to Chiefs because those who know him well know that he can play for the team. For now, there is nothing concrete, but the player has been offered, and it is up to the club to make a decision,” concluded the source.
ZAMBIAN GOALKEEPER
As reported last week, Kaizer Chiefs have been linked with another African international. According to Soccer Laduma Kaizer Chiefs are targeting Zambia and Zesco United‘s Toaster Nsabata, who previously played in the Betway Premiership for Sekhukhune United in the Betway Premiership.
“The club has identified that the department is a bit shaky and that’s why they have enquired about Zambia national team goalkeeper Toaster Nsabata,” the report said. “But to bring him in they need to at least release one or loan one goalkeeper and they are considering loaning out Ntwari at the moment. It’s not clear whether it would in January or at the end of the season. For now, the main focus is one goalkeeper at a time, and are going at the moment,” the report added.
ARE KAIZER CHIEFS MOVING TOWARDS THE RIGHT SOLUTIONS?
