Kaizer Chiefs to axe winger before Holland tour

Kaizer Chiefs will attempt to loan out one of their fringe wingers as he continues to struggle for game time with the Naturena giants.

Chiefs to loan Potsane out

31-year-old left-footed winger Tebogo Potsane is on the way out of Naturena. The Blom-born star has battled for regular minutes since a move from Royal AM in July 2023. He’s only got 19 appearances in that time, with three assists. Here’s an update via SoccerLaduma:

“For now, they have been looking at which players to release, and there is a list for those. But for Potsane, it is expected to be a loan move. They still think there is something in him, but things haven’t been going well with him, so they believe a loan move could reignite the talent in him with more game time,” the source told Soccer Laduma.

“There are several factors the club is looking at to give a chance to Tebogo Potsane. They are finalising the squad which they are expected to take to Holland, and with new signings expected, they will release some and loan out some, and Potsane is on that list for now,” a source stated.

Monyane offered to Kaizer Chiefs

Meanwhile, Orlando Pirates right-back Thabiso Monyane could be on his way to Kaizer Chiefs. It’s not the most far-fetched rumour we’ve ever heard. Pirates already have several players in that position.
