Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly interested in bringing Cassius Mailula back to South Africa following his impressive performances on loan at Wydad Casablanca.

The forward, still under contract with Toronto FC, has caught the attention of the Soweto giants, though negotiations may be complex due to his existing commitments.

Mailula showed signs of his former self under his mentor Rulani Mokwena in Morocco.

The Kaizer Chiefs transfer target scored three goals while assisting six more in just 24 league appearances for Wydad Athletic Club.

According to the latest transfer gossip, Kaizer Chiefs bosses believe they’ve found the solution to the club’s goal-scoring problems.

According to insiders at the club, Chiefs have already opened talks with Toronto FC over the possibility of signing Mailula.

“Kaizer Chiefs have enquired about him but you know he is a Toronto FC player and they are the ones to make the final decision,” an insider told Soccer Laduma.

“Are they loaning him out again or can Chiefs buy him from them? But as for Chiefs being interested in him that’s true and they are ready to fight for his signature.”
