Kaizer Chiefs target Elias Mokwana will be returning to his club Esperance following a salary dispute.

His attorney Kabelo Mashigo told SABC Sport the contract breach was been “rectified”. According to the publication, Mokwana was owed money, and his representatives had sent the club notice of a possible termination.

“No, we have made it clear that this cannot happen again, and the enforcement of applicable regulations will be applied without further notice, should anything like this ever happen,” Mashigo said.

Kaizer Chiefs target Elias Mokwana returns to Esperance

“On Friday we had a discussion with the club, and we were able to find each other. The club has essentially rectified its breach, meaning they are no longer in breach and have complied with the terms of the contract to date.

“Elias will be returning to Tunis to fulfill his obligations as per the contract, once he is done with national duty,” Mashigo concluded.

Before moving to Esperance, Mokwana was reportedly wanted by Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs. It came as a surprise when Sekhukhune United announced the departure of the Bafana star for a reported fee of around R7 million.

Mokwana has already played seven matches for the Tunisian giants scoring once this season.
