Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly showing interest in two players: Zakhele Lepasa and Samir Nurkovic.

The 32-year-old Serbian forward recently ended his contract with TS Galaxy, making him a free agent. During his three-year spell with Amakhosi, he made a notable impact by scoring a total of 13 goals in his first season.

He established himself as a key player for the team under Ernest Middendorp but failed to rediscover his form the next two seasons at Naturena.

Kaizer Chiefs to steal Pirates star?

On the other hand, Zakhele Lepasa has faced challenges at Pirates under Jose Riveiro. His playing time has been significantly reduced, and he has yet to make an appearance this season due to an ongoing injury. This lack of game time may be a factor in Chiefs’ interest, as they see potential in him once he regains full fitness.

The Buccaneers have enjoyed a great start to the season with the likes of Evidence Makgopa and Tshegofatso Mabasa leading from the front.

Kaizer Chiefs have also enjoyed a good start to the season under Nasreddine Nabi, The club has brought in seven new players to strengthen their squad ahead of the current season, it’s worth mentioning that none of these signings are strikers.

This indicates a possible gap in their attacking options, which could explain their pursuit of both Lepasa and Nurkovic as they seek to bolster their front line.

Kaizer Chiefs suffered their second defeat of the season following a 1-0 loss to SuperSport United in Polokwane on Saturday evening.

Should Chiefs go for Lepasa or Nurkovic?
