Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi is facing an uncertain future.

IS NASREDDINE NABI LEAVING KAIZER CHIEFS?

Despite Saturday’s Nedbank Cup final victory over Orlando Pirates, TimesLIVE’s award-winning veteran journalist, Bareng-Batho Korjaas, has reported that Kaizer Chiefs have decided not to keep the Tunisian coach.

“Kaizer Chiefs will terminate the contract of coach Nasreddine Nabi at the end of the season,” BBK reported on TimesLive.

In the meantime, the Glamour Boys are still focused on securing a place in next season’s MTN8 with two games left for the season.

Amakhosi will take on SuperSport United on 17 May away, before hosting Polokwane City on Saturday, 24 May.

THE COACH SPEAKS

“Actually, I’m very focused on the last two games of the league, and it’s very important for the end of the league,” Nabi said on Extra-Time.

“I still have a contract with Kaizer Chiefs, and I believe that if the club wants to continue with me, and to give the tools to succeed, there is no reason to leave – even I could find somewhere else to go.

“But I respect this club, and I want to continue with this club.

“But I wouldn’t be honest if I say that I will stay if the club doesn’t allow me to get all the tools to succeed next season,” he added.

“Because they have promised [quality reinforcements] and I have promised to the fans that I want to build a successful team that is going to compete in every competition to win trophies.

“That’s the condition for me to stay because I don’t feel I want to go through what I went through this season,” the Kaizer Chiefs mentor concluded.
