Former Muvhango actress Mona Monyane shocked her followers on Friday, 15 November when she revealed that she and her estranged husband Khulu Skenjana are still married.
MONA MONYANE: ‘IT TAKES TWO TO DIVORCE’
The fan-favourite actress Mona Monyane revealed in a video on Instagram that the father of her daughter Skhulu Skenjana is refusing to sign the divorce papers.
“Chomi, tomorrow is Amani’s [daughter] seventh birthday, and I am still legally married. Many of you are confused because I told you I was divorced. I was calling it out into the universe. I filed in 2020, 2022 and 2024 is my third attempt,” she says on the video.
“These are my confessions. I know the power of wellness because I live to experience a force that is intent on destroying me and yet, look what God has done for me. In the midst of having to fight the father of my kids to release me,” she captions the post.
“Yes chomi (friend), I choose happiness, light, love and peace. Even when this darkness challenges my reality. I choose life. Not death,” she wrote.
This comes after the actress revealed on social media in 2020 that she and Skenjana have parted ways.
“My husband and I have parted ways. I know this will come as a shock to many and I ask that you continue to believe in love and family,” she said.
The couple separated after losing their second baby just seven days after she was born.
