New signing Gaston Sirino could find himself in danger of being released prematurely by Kaizer Chiefsaccording to shock reports.
Sirino only joined Chiefs at the beginning of the season as a free agent from Mamelodi Sundowns.
Sirino has made an impact at Chiefs
He has since hit the running at Chiefs, scoring 2 goals and managing an assist in eight matches thus far. Sirino has been a live-wire every time he has played for Amakhosi this season, often adding spark to their attacks. He has also combined well and offered good guidance to youngsters Mduduzi Shabalala, Wandile Duba and Mfundo Vilakazi. With that stature at the club, you would think it would translate to discipline and being a role model off the field too.
But now according to shock reports from Soccer-Laduma, Sirino has already ran in to some disciplinary issue at Chiefs.
“According to Siya sources, the midfielder allegedly fakes injuries and refuses to train. Only to return to action as matchday approaches. This pattern of behaviour has reportedly caused frustration within the Kaizer Chiefs camp. This especially with head coach Nasreddine Nabi and the club’s management, who expect a high level of professionalism. The 33-year-old’s actions have already led to disciplinary action, with the club making it clear that such behaviour cannot continue. Although there is a sense of understanding regarding the pressures that players face, Sirino’s conduct has been deemed unacceptable, and it has begun to affect his standing within the squad.” Wrote the publication.
It then went on to say, Chiefs are hopeful the message has got across to Sirino. But if the problem persists, they won’t hesitate to partway
Disciplinary issues to see him released prematurely?
“While Chiefs management is reportedly keen to give the former Mamelodi Sundowns man a chance to change, insiders have warned that if his behaviour persists, the club could be forced to take drastic measures, including the potential termination of his contract. Despite the challenges, there remains a glimmer of hope that Sirino can turn things around, given his undeniable ability on the pitch. However, his future at Chiefs is now hanging in the balance as the club evaluates his commitment to the team and his professionalism” wrote the publication.
