Kaizer Chiefs youngster Naledi Hlongwane dazzled for the All-Stars side in their 3-0 over Magesi FC on Saturday.

Hlongwane was one of the DDC players that was on display from the start and would’ve had Chiefs fans excited.

Hlongwane stole the show in Carling game

He combined with fellow Chiefs player Samkelo Zwane to score the opening goal for the All Stars against Magesi. Hlongwane would then go on to add a second and win Man of the Match in a 3-0 victory. He combined well with another club mate Ashley du Preez and former schoolmate and Orlando Pirates star Relebohile Mofokeng

Hlongwane also showed great composure in front of goal, scoring both of his goals with his weaker left foot. The speed, composure and finishing abilities are some characteristics that have been lacking for Amakhosi of late.

After winning the Man of Match prize money of R100k Hlongwane was asked what he planned to do with it. The Chiefs youngster then gave a heartwarming and wholesome response to the members of the media.

“And then the other one, obviously I’m gonna give my mom, and then the other one goes to the savings account,” Hlongwane concluded,

Hlongwane also reflected on his experience playing with senior Chiefs stars and players from other clubs.

Overrall experience

“It was a great experience playing with the big players in the PSL like abo Thembinkosi [Lorch]. And then yeah Mfundo [Vilakazi] obviously, I’m used to him. I have been training with him before he was promoted to the (Chiefs) first team. I trained with him from Under 17, Under 19, and DDC. And then he was promoted and went to the senior team.” Hlongwane concluded as per FARPost.
