Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 winner, Chidimma Adetshina took to her social media this week to thank her fans for voting for her.

CHIDIMMA ADETSHINA: ‘THANK YOU FOR VOTING’

The Nigerian beauty queen Chidimma Adetshina reveals in a video that she made it to the top 20 Voice of Change category in the Miss Universe 2024 pageant.

She says: “Hello Nigeria, hello Africa, hello Universe. My name is Chidimma Vanessa Onwe Adetshina and I am Miss Universe Nigeria 2024. I just finished my interview round. I am so proud of myself. I was so anxious, and I was so nervous. I didn’t know what the questions were going to be like.”

“I am making this video to say thank you to every one of you for voting for me for my Voice of Change. I managed to make it to the top 20. I am so grateful to each and every one of you, thank you so much,” says Adetshina.

NylonManila previously revealed that the Voice of Change category is a special section of the Miss Universe pageant that was introduced in the 72nd edition of the pageant.

Contestants share their advocacies and the causes they champion in a three-minute video in the section.

“It’s a collaboration between the Miss Universe organisation, jewelry company Mouawad, and media platform CI Talks that aims to unite “diverse voices in a harmonious call for action,” adds the publication.

MISS UNIVERSE: MEXICO

The Miss Universe contestant Chidimma Adetshina is representing Nigeria at the Miss Universe competition in Mexico.

According to Hola, the pageant has raised the stakes with a record-breaking thirty semifinalists, up from twenty in previous years.

The publication adds that some of the most talked about contestants this year include, Sakhile Dube from Zimbabwe, Michelle Jiménez from Spain, and María Fernanda Beltrán from Mexico.
