The Springboks boast some of the highest-paid players in World Rugby with the likes of Siya Kolisi, Eben Etzebeth, Cheslin Kolbe, Handre Pollard and Faf de Klerk.

So, let’s take a look at how much these top Boks make and who earns the most.

HIGHEST-PAID SPRINGBOKS AND THEIR SALARIES

Handre Pollard (Leicester Tigres) – R31 MILLION a year (R2.5 million a month)
Cheslin Kolbe (Tokyo Sungoliath) – R22 MILLION a year (R1.83 million)
Faf de Klerk (Toyota Verblitz) – R21 MILLION a year (R1.75 million)
Siya Kolisi (The Sharks) – R18.6 MILLION (R1.56 million a month)
Eben Etzebeth (The Sharks) – R18 MILLION (R1.5 million a month)

These wages were reported on MyWageza. Whilst, Pollards earnings were reported by Rugby365.

Meaning, if these reports are accurate than Pollard is the highest-paid Springboks star. Interestingly, the Leiecester and Bok flyhalf is set for a sensational return to the Bulls next season.

He is reportedly not set to take a pay-cut, according to Jacaranda.

SA STARS FLOURISHING IN JAPAN

Springbok speedster Cheslin Kolbe sits at second. He earns roughly R1.83 million a week. The SA Rugby Player of the Year winner continues to flourish for Japenese side, Verblitz.

Meanwhile, de Klerk is the other top-earning Bok currently playing in Japan for Toyota Verblitz. Also, before Kolbe left Toulouse to join Sungoliath, Faf was the highest-paid Bok in Japan. So, he is now second. Moreover, he is the Boks third highest-paid player overall.

However, at the time of publication neither Pieter-Steph du Toit nor Kurt-Lee Arendse’s earnings have been made known.
