1. Avoid dairy products

Paring dairy products with alcohol might irritate the lining of the stomach and result in acute stomach aches and even constipation.

2. Pizza

This might sound sad, but yes, eating pizza with alcohol is not a good idea. The use of leavening agents in the dough doesn’t sit well with alcohol in the stomach and might result in stomach pain.

3. Fried Food

Pakodas and fries are considered good treats with alcohol, but they slow down the digestion process when consumed together and might increase pressure on the intestines. So, avoid the combination.

4. High sodium foods

Foods rich in salt might dehydrate the body, which will make you go out for more drinks, and excessive alcohol intake is anyway not good for the body.

5. Beans

While having wine, avoid pairing it with bean salad or curry, as the latter is rich in iron, and the compound called tannin present in the former hinders its absorption, which might result in discomfort.

6. Orange Salad

It is refreshing with nuts in it, but when consumed with alcohol, the acid in oranges might instigate digestive issues and cause discomfort.

8. Chocolate

As per studies, chocolate, caffeine, or cocoa when consumed with alcohol might aggravate gastro-intestinal issues and cause acidity too. Hence, one should avoid chocolate with alcohol.
