Elon Musk’s father, Errol, has defended him following his wave of social media posts.

This comes after he called out South Africa’s “racist ownership laws,” further fueling the controversy.

ERROL WEIGHS ON ELON’S SOCIAL MEDIA POSTS

South African-born billionaire Elon Musk has faced backlash for his criticism of South Africa’s “openly racist laws.”

The billionaire has been accused of supporting US President Donald Trump’s views on land expropriation and race-based policies, such as Black Economic Empowerment (BEE).

The controversy erupted after Trump claimed that the South African government was unlawfully seizing land and mistreating certain groups without providing evidence.

Trump’s comments were linked to President Cyril Ramaphosa’s Expropriation Act, which permits land confiscation without compensation.

Following these statements, Trump announced he would halt all future aid to South Africa until an investigation occurs.

Musk echoed Trump’s claims and further asserted that South Africa is “openly pushing the genocide of white people.”

ERROL SAYS ELON ‘IS DOING THE RIGHT THING’

In a recent interview on Podcast and Chill, the 79-year-old South African businessman was asked by Mac G (real name Macgyver Mukwevho) how he feels about his son’s online statements.

Defending him, he said, “He’s doing the right thing. Obviously, you know, we have to get rid of the people who’ve been taking money and giving it to their friends, and as Elon said yesterday, only 10% of the money reaches where it’s meant to go. This is a very bad thing to happen,” he said.

Sol Phenduka then asked him how he felt about his son claiming there’s a “white genocide” in South Africa. He replied,

“No, I don’t think anybody said that. I think what he said was that white farmers are three times more likely to be shot by to be killed than an active policeman in South Africa, which is not a good thing,” he said.
