Terry Myataza is a Christian, businessman, radio and TV personality based in Gqeberha. The businessman is also a founder of Terry Myataza Foundation (TMF).
The foundation’s aim is to help serve and work for the society by empowering communities, strengthening civil social as well as promoting social change with the help of their local citizens.
The foundation has projects such as a soup kitchen initiative where they get to give back to the community, they also have a kid’s fun day. “Our main goal is to uplift people and bridge a gap in the economy. Our fight is not against humanity but against poverty,” he said.
Speaking to BONA, he shared that he has always been a business minded person who only needed a way into the right direction, “However, my God never forsaken me as he has been my firm foundation.
Terry revealed that he also runs a Terry’s Hiring Service and Terry’s Driving School where he currently has over 10 employees and recently opened his office. “We have helped so many and changed so many lives with all of my businesses,” he added.
He shared that he is grateful to the Lord for blessing him with clientele and people who trust their services because his businesses have been doing well.
When asked what one thing he wishes he knew before starting up, he answered saying it is being about the importance of how to deal with pressure, “Sometimes doing a lot of things strain you and suffocate you. However, the world does not stop moving just because you are tired. So even at your worst day, you need to get up cause people depend on you.”
Continuing by giving advice to upcoming business owners, he said that if one wants to venture into business, he urges them to take business short courses first. He explained that this would help them learn certain things within that specific business field, “In that way it puts you at an advantage so you can know and be ready to face the world with your business idea.”
“In order for it to do great, you need good business traits, risk taking decisions, prayer and marketing.”
In closing, he said people should always get out of their comfort zone and do what they love, “You will never work a single day in your life.”
