Zimbabwean-born content creator Ndoyisile Ndumiso Sibindi has come under fire following his classist remarks on social media.

NDOYISILE CLASSIST REMARKS LAND HIM IN HOT WATER

Popular TikToker Ndoyisile Sibindi sparked outrage after expressing frustration about people from Tembisa flocking to the Mall of Africa.

In a now-viral clip shared on X, Ndoyisile, who hails from Zimbabwe, shared his discomfort with the crowd at the popular mall.

“I think people who make the Mall of Africa full are people from Tembisa. Don’t you guys have a mall in Tembisa?” he said in the video.

“People are just gallivanting and occupying the mall for no reason, and it’s so uncomfortable for us who are here who are claustrophobic, he said.

His comments have angered many South Africans, who have taken to X (formerly Twitter) to criticise him.

He has been accused of looking down on people from Tembisa, with several users expressing their anger at him:

@Mamphephethe_10 wrote: “@HomeAffairsSA investigate this Zimbabwean boy. He entered SA with a study visa, but he has been here for years now. Please investigate if his documents are in order. @Leon_Schreib”

@Destinyzee commented: “He must go back home now; he is too big for his shoes.”

@Naughbiased stated: “This is wrong; he’s looking down on people from Tembisa. This is what privilege does to people—he wants the Mall of Africa to be exclusive to emperors like himself. A joke needs to have a relatable punchline, so this doesn’t qualify as one.”

@Zaddy_bruh added: “Telling South Africans how to behave in South Africa as a foreigner is weird. Joke or not…bro failed to read the room.”
